Tandoori Chicken


Ingredients

Chicken Leg Quarters  2
salt                   
lemon juice        4 tbsp
chilli powder      2tbsp(according to taste)

oil -1/4th cup

Tandoori paste

ginger garlic paste                      2tbsp
cumin powder                            2-3tsp
coriander powder                       2-3tsp
chicken masala powder               1-2tbsp
or garam masala powder             1-2tbsp
curd or plain yogurt                     2-3tbsp
chilli powder                               1-2tbsp
salt                                          
turmeric powder                      pinch
red color


1.put small gashes that are deep enough to see the bone.

2.Apply lemons juice,salt,chillipowder all over it and all through the gashes.This is when chicken absorbs salt.so try to apply it very well all through .
3.keet it aside for about 1 hr then apply tandoor paste,allthrough the gashes too.Keep it aside for one more hour.(at this point you could keep it in refrigerator for further use)

4.coat it with oil .
5.Heat oven on high in the broil mode.
6.Put the leg quarters on one of the upper racks of the oven.After around 20 mins(Or until the texture turns brown) flip it over.
7.if you feel oil is dried off you could pour some oil on top of it.
8.broil it for about 20 more minutes(or it texuture turns out brown as shown in the picture)

Serve it with plenty of lemon juice,salt ,if needed and onions.
