1 cup butter
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
big pinch of baking soda.
1 orange juice
1 tbsp orange zest
1 tbsp of nuts(cashew,almond)
add butter and sugar.
mix it very well
add eggs.mix it very well
mix all purpose flour and baking powder together then add it to the above mixture
add orange juice,zest and nuts and mix it up.
Mix it well
Grease plate generously with butter then dust the entire plate with flour(don't touch the plate with hand) so that cake wont stick to the bottom while removing
Bake cake at 400 in the oven for 20 minutes or until u see top changing to brown and insert knife,
if that comes out clean good to take it off from oven.
Adding orange juice makes your cake tastier
Without baking soda(apart from baking powder) your cake is no good.No fluffy.
Add ingredients in the order shown above that's when it can'be mixed very well.
**Mix all the ingredients in a wide bowl that is when mixing will be easy and effective.
**you can get creative with the ingredients....rosewater,vanilla essence,berries.................etc..
Try to cut the cake when it gets cool down otherwise you don't get good shape.
**By dusting the plate with flour after greasing with butter you can easily get the cake out of the plate(while plate is hot itself)
**Usually in sponge cakes baking soda is not added.
